Marella Hesseling

Marella Hesseling creates abstract paintings that don’t reveal themselves at first glance. Her work draws you in, inviting you to step closer and discover new details with every look. Using a combination of brush and palette knife, she builds up layers of texture, lines, and subtle metallic accents that catch the light. Bold and powerful from a distance, intricate and refined up close.

Her inspiration? Contrast. The harmony and chaos of nature, the structure of architecture versus intuitive movement, the interplay of light and shadow. With a background in interior architecture and digital design, Marella has a sharp eye for composition and color. Her paintings are not just expressive and organic but also seamlessly integrate into a space—making a statement that continues to captivate.

Marella exhibits her work at art fairs and collaborates with interior designers, galleries, and collectors to create unique paintings that complete an interior. No mass production, no repetition—each piece is handmade, signed, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
